厦门大学概况

XIAMEN UNIVERSITY
Xiamen University wasfounded in 1921 by Tan Kah Kee, the well-known patriotic overseas Chineseleader. It was the first university in China founded by an overseas Chinese. 招聘条件
（一）厦门大学特聘教授、讲座教授
1.具有博士学位。特聘教授：自然科学和工程技术类原则上年龄在45周岁以下，人文社会科学类原则上年龄在50周岁以下； 2.学术造诣高深，在科学研究方面取得国内外同行公认的重要成就； 3.具有活跃的研究思想和发展潜力以及良好的团队协作精神和组织能力； 4.特聘教授要求全职来校工作，讲座教授要求一年在校工作2个月以上。
（二）厦门大学教授、副教授、助理教授
1.具有博士学位。应聘教授的，原则上年龄在50周岁以下；应聘副教授的，原则上年龄在40周岁以下；应聘助理教授的，原则上年龄在35周岁以下；
2.符合厦门大学相应职务教师任职条件（详见《厦门大学教师职务聘任条例（2011年12月修订）》）。
相关待遇
受聘教师实行聘任制，享受厦门大学同等职务教师的工资待遇、安家费（博士或副高以上）和住房货币化补贴。对于特别拔尖的引进人才，各种待遇可通过协商给予特别安排。
Requirements
Distinguished Professors and Chair Professors 1. Have a Ph.D.degree and, in principle, the age limit is 45 for distinguished professors ofnatural science and engineering field, 50 for humanities professors; 2. Have engagedin scientific research achievements acknowledged by peers at home and abroad,and be capable of offering international frontier courses in their discipline; 3. Possess anactive research mind and development potential, innovative and strategicinsights into the development of their discipline, and an ability to takecharge of important state-funded projects and achieve major notable results; 4. Distinguishedprofessors are required to work full time at the University, and chair professors for over 2 months each year.
Professors,Associate Professors and Assistant Professors of Xiamen University 1. A Ph.D. degree is required; 2. In principle, the age limit for professoris 50, for associate professor is 40, and for assistant professor is 35; 3. The candidate should meet therequirements of the relevant positions of Xiamen University; 4. The candidate should be able to fulfillthe responsibilities required for each position. Treatments The recruited faculty members shall sign a contractwith Xiamen University. In addition to the standard salaries, settling fees andhousing allowance enjoyed by all the faculty members with a Ph.D. degree, specialtreatments may be offered to the top-notch talents after mutual negotiation.
